HOW TO | GET THE PERFECT FOUNDATION SHADE

Hello lovelies,

This post is something I think pretty much every single pale person can relate to, seeing as for me no foundation shade is ever perfect and therefore can easily turn out with my face being a different shade to my neck...

REVIEW | TOO FACED MELTED LIPSTICKS

I'm not that much of a lipstick gal but when I am these Too Faced Melted lipsticks are 9 times out of 10 the ones I use. The darker pink shade Chihuahua and the lighter nude is Sugar.

Why? the both shades are so versatile with sooo many outfits that it makes them hard to resist, and they also have good pigmentation to them. I think the main reason why they're my favourites is how they feel on my lips, as they aren't that matte and they have a slight creamy texture it makes my lips look 'healthier' as for me the matte look just doesn't work.

However, although they are my favourites the lasting time on them isn't incredible which for the price is a bit of a disappointment, however reapplying isn't a hassle for me but if it is for you then I wouldn't highly recommend them when rating them on their lasting power.

Do you guys have a favourite go to lipstick?

Thanks for reading!
xx

STYLE | A BITE TO EAT

Dress - Topshop
Bag - Topshop
Shoes - Primark
Bralette - Pink

Hi all,

So today's outfit wasn't planned in the slightest, to the point I left the house in a completely different outfit. However, once I'd gotten half way to where I was headed the 25 degree heat had gotten the better of me and I decided jeans was the worst idea ever.

This firstly lead me into Primark to pick up these bargain £8 loafers. After that I headed straight to Topshop, knowing that there was a dozen dresses I'd been dying to try on, of course Topshop didn't disappoint and I left with this incredible dress, the back on it is just my favourite part, along with the side slits. Luckily, I had on the bralette from Pink which worked very well with the colouring in the floral pattern. The bag I brought out also luckily worked well, matching the brown faux suede loafers to a T.

So there we have it - a complete accidental outfit that is now one of my favourites for a hot day in the sun!

LIFE | A NEW YEAR

Firstly, I want to a wish a big happy New Year to you all!
Now my assignments are all handed in and I actually have time to breathe, I figured why not spend some time focusing on my blog.

After ending 2016 with an amazing Christmas (which was made even better when I got the camera I'd be wanting forever! - some of my favourite pictures taken from the weekend below)

I think now 2016 is over, it's time to focus on what 2017 means for me, and many others.

As usual, a new year brings the saying "New Year, New Me" back into focus. Myself not being to good at sticking to the phrase past January, (I'm sure like many others) means I've decided to be a bit more realistic with myself a set an ideal 'wishlist' of what I wish 2017 will bring.

  • The first on list being Hard Work. I know you're all thinking whoever would wish that upon themselves??! but in order for me to achieve a maybe wishful thinking, 1st class honours degree in a years time, hard work is necessary. Therefore, the first thing I want to continue into 2017 is a hard working work ethic.
  • The second is Fun. Alongside the hard work, I want 2017 to be a year of fun. I want to create as many hilarous memories as possible.
  • The third and final thing is Me. I wish 2017 to be a year where I do things for myself and not always just for others. To work on myself, in terms of fitness, health, skills and happiness.
I hope you've enjoyed my ramblings. Feel free to share you're 'wishlist' of 2017 with me in the comments.
I hope you have a lovely week!

WISHLIST | ASOS

This both lovely and affordable top that retails at £12.00 comes in three different colours (this one being my favourite) and could be styled perfectly with a dark denim jean. The long sleeves make it ideal for winter, although with the Bardot neckline a scarf might be a good idea!

This comfy sweatshirt from Nike that retails at £45.00 is also ideal for the cold months. With it being Nike it means it comes with a steeper price than other similar sweatshirts that can also be found on Asos at a much lower price, but if you're shamefully a bit of a brand girl like myself and don't mind paying the extra then this sweatshirt is ideal!

These light wash jeans from River Island that retail at £42.00 could be paired with just about anything you have in your closest. The versatileness of them make the price worth it, as well as that with jeans I always believe that in most cases you get what you pay for. For me that means repeat purchase of Topshop's famous Joni Jean. The stylish 'Busted Knee' adds to the look of these jeans and would help finish any look off nicely.

This beautiful wrap blouse from River Island which retails at £34.00 is to die for! It would be perfect either for more casual outfits, for example paired with the jeans which I speak about above or you could even dress it up to be suitable for going out. This top might just be in my basket ready to order!

Hope you've enjoyed & let me know if there is anything you've personally been lusting for over on Asos!
Have a lovely weekend!
